Based on what you want most in your life right now, it sounds like you should take advantage of the Winter Season of your cycle. This means that you desire more time for just you, to relax and recharge, and the winter season is the perfect time to drop into self care without guilt.
You probably find you have a hard time saying NO, give a lot of yourself and your time to others, and you might even shame yourself into believing you need to be doing something all the time.
Even though it goes against your natural womanly instinct, Winter is the BEST time to make it ALL about YOU!
Here are some simple ways to do that:
#1. Give yourself what you want (without guilt)
Who says you can’t stay in your jammies all day? Eat chocolate cake for breakfast, or take a bath first thing in the morning? What if you got a babysitter for an hour just so you could take some alone time in your room? Indulge in what you most feel like doing for you. You’ll find there’s a specific time of the month this idea feels natural and needed, ease into that feeling and trust it’s what you need most.
#2. JOURNAL
You may notice a specific time each month when you’re drawn to write your thoughts. Go get yourself a journal and a special pen, and before you go to bed at night, write down the ideas that came to you today, and every day you take extra rest.
#3. SAY NO to NEW things
It might sound weird, but this is the season to literally bask in the barren of it all. This isn’t the time to start new things, it’s the time to take inventory of what’s coming through you. So use this time to listen to your inner guidance, save the action for another time.
The Winter season is the beginning of your menstrual cycle. It’s marked by the start of your period and depending on the length of your blood flow, can last 3-7 days. You can expect to experience lower energy and you may even feel like hibernating a bit. Don’t worry if you don’t wanna be out socializing, this is not the time for that anyway:)
Remember that each phase of your cycle has special powers and potential. So if what you crave is more down time, self connection, and intuitive wisdom, then WINTER season is your jam.
